Based on the hilltop town of Montalcino in Tuscany, Tenuta di Collosorbo has been producing Brunello di Montalcino since 1966. Le Due Gemme is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot both grown in their “Il Quercione” vineyard that was planted in 2001 and has been farmed organically.
This wine shows rich red and black fruit with a touch of exotic spices. It’s generous on the palate, with fine tannins and a refreshing finish. Perfect with pasta, pizza, meat dishes and mild cheeses.
“Rich ruby red with a bright core. Hearty nose of ripe cherry, reminiscent of roasted walnut, with a menthol aftertaste. Rich fruit and drive on the palate, deep and fresh, slightly drying in the finish.”
