The Organized Crime is a small craftsman-styled winery located on the renowned Beamsville Bench of the Niagara Peninsula. Their south-facing vineyards hang over the hillside edges of the Bench which provide an ideal environment for cool-climate wine growing, and some of the best views on the Bench.
This wine is unmistakably Cabernet Franc with raspberry, violet and a hint of spice on the nose. The tannins and acids balance the wine nicely, and make it a great companion on the dinner table. Drinking well now, but will continue to evolve over the next 3-5 years.
“Here’s a very pretty, supple and approachable style of cabernet franc by talented winemaker Greg Yemen. The nose is very lifted and floral with raspberry jam fruit, fine herbs and subtle spice. It is mid-weight, fairly soft with just a hint of rounding sweetness, warmth (13.8% abv) and easy tannin. Good fruit intensity and depth carries to excellent length length. Fine to enjoy now through 2025.”
