| Collection | Champagne VALENTIN LEFLAIVE |
The Leflaive family, famously present for generations on the most prestigious appellations of the Côte d’Or, is recognized for its exemplary work. Continuing the historical single varietal approach, this Champagne is made from 100% Chardonnay from the Avize Grand Cru appellation in the Côte des Blancs.
The selections are parcel-based, the harvests are manual and the production is made-to-measure. Aged 3.5 years on lees, and recently disgorged, it exhibits a pale gold hue. It is prized for its very delicate flavours, long mineral finish and a fine effervescence. Rich and delicate on the nose with notes of lemon and grapefruit which evolves towards honeysuckle with subtle chalky notes. The mouth is precise with an intense bouquet of citrus fruits prolonged by a beautiful saline tension.
“This is an expressive and flavorful blanc de blancs showing aromas of honey, salted pineapples, baked apples and pastries. Creamy and fresh, with a medium body, very fine bubbles and bright acidity. Excellent persistency. 100% chardonnay from Avize. Disgorged February 2023. 4g/L dosage. Drink now.”
