The sec (dry) wines of the Loire are considered to be a pure expression of the best of both Chenin Blanc and the terroir of the Vouvray region. At Domaine Huet, grapes are grown according to biodynamic principles, then harvested and meticulously sorted by hand. Each cuvée shows a precise expression of the Domaine’s soils.

The soil in Huet’s Le Mont vineyard is pebbly and consists mainly of green-coloured clay and silica. The wines produced in this vineyard are traditionally elegant and poised. Vinified in the tradition of the house, the pure, chiseled, mineral flint of the Le Mont vineyard comes through on the nose and the palate.

“Delicate, vibrant aromas of pear and white peach mingled with spring blossoms introduce the 2024 Vouvray Le Mont Sec. Medium- to full-bodied, it is both dense and lively, built around a fleshy core of fruit, bright acidity and a slightly incisive texture that carries through to a long, ethereal and finely saline finish. Purer and more mineral than Clos du Bourg, this is a crystalline expression of Vouvray—even within the framework of this challenging vintage. Residual sugar: 7.5 grams per liter.”
93 points, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate (Robert Parker), October 2025

“A silky, streamlined beam of green plum, star fruit and pear blossoms is dusted with green herbs. Salty density builds, with the purity of fruit bolstered by succulent acidity and chalky mineral notes. Floral high tones grace the finish, which shows precision and focus. Beautiful now but a bit tightly wound; this will taste better with time in bottle. Drink now through 2035. 800 cases made.”
93 points, Kristen Bieler, Wine Spectator, November 2025
