Founded in 1974 by Giuseppe Mori on the cooler northern slopes of Montalcino, Il Marroneto takes its name from the estate’s historic chestnut-drying building. Today, his son Alessandro Mori continues the family’s traditional approach, elevating Il Marroneto into the highest echelon of Brunello producers.

Il Marroneto produces Brunello with a rare sense of grace, an exquisitely pure and aristocratic expression of Sangiovese that favours elegance, perfume and precision over sheer power. Layers of luminous red cherry, wild strawberry and blood orange unfold alongside rose petals, dried herbs, warm earth and fine mineral nuances. The palate is beautifully poised, with vibrant acidity, finely sculpted tannins and a long, quietly commanding finish.
