The Organized Crime is a small boutique winery located on the renowned Beamsville Bench of the Niagara Peninsula. Winegrowers Edward Zaski & Ania de Duleba keep production volumes small. The winery was awarded #2 Winery in all of Ontario, as well as #4 Small Winery and #6 Winery overall in all of Canada at the 2019 National Wine Awards of Canada, the country’s largest annual competition of Canadian wines.
This special Cuvée is made in honour and memory of Krystyna Tarasewicz, a co-founder who was the heart and soul of the Organized Crime Winery. The best fruit, handpicked, gently pressed, and fermented naturally with no additions. The resulting wine is complex, layered and balanced with notes of orchard fruit, citrus and spice. Elegant and unadorned, it lets the vineyard, vintage and variety tell the story.
“Powerful, reductive and in charge chardonnay, assuming the risk and in delivery of the reward. Platinum gold hue and attitude, serious, grippy and über conscious of its abilities. Top-notch with vanilla and cereals that swirl into the full fruit complement of a chardonnay you just bloody want to drink. Consume away, with abandon because it asks this of you. Abide and oblige. Drink 2022-2026. Tasted blind at NWAC2022, June 2022.” 92 points, Michael Godel, Wine Align, June 2022
