Cerbaiona is one of Montalcino’s true cult estates deeply tied to traditional, site-driven Brunello. The estates history dates back to 1454, but the modern day winery was founded in 1977 by Diego Molinari. The estate sits just northeast of the town of Montalcino and has long been prized for producing Sangiovese of remarkable purity, structure, and longevity.

Cerbaiona’s Brunello is a beautifully classic expression of Montalcino: elegant and powerful. In the glass, expect layers of red cherry, wild strawberry, blood orange, dried rose, cedar, incense, crushed stone, tobacco, and subtle licorice. The palate is refined and energetic, with vibrant acidity, fine mineral tension, and firm, beautifully detailed tannins.

This is Brunello with both grace and authority: expressive with decanting, but clearly suited to extended cellar evolution. Pair with bistecca alla Fiorentina, braised short rib, wild boar ragù, porcini risotto, aged Pecorino, or roasted lamb with rosemary. A superb choice for collectors and lovers of classic, age-worthy Sangiovese.
