A beautifully refined expression of Meursault, this Premier Cru Chardonnay comes from an estate-owned vineyard situated high on the slope near Blagny, immediately beside the celebrated Meursault-Perrières Dessus. ‘Récolte du Domaine’ indicates that the wine is produced from Olivier Leflaive’s own vines, rather than purchased fruit.
Generous yet impeccably composed, the wine unfolds with aromas of ripe pear, white peach and lemon curd, layered with acacia blossom, toasted almond and a discreet touch of warm brioche. The palate is broad and silky, but the vineyard’s elevated position lends a vibrant mineral tension that keeps its richness beautifully in check. Notes of citrus oil, orchard fruit and crushed stone flow into a long, elegant finish accented by hazelnut and fine salinity.
Enjoy alongside lobster, seared scallops, roast chicken, turbot in beurre blanc or aged Comté.
“Pale lemon yellow. A refined and classy nose with more of a mineral feel. Discreet but refined, perhaps less power than the Poruzots but I like the discreet refinement, and the graceful long finish, with a little citrus note supporting the orchard fruit. Drink from 2029-2032. Tasted Oct 2025.”
