Château de Pibarnon is one of the benchmark estates of Bandol, crafting deeply expressive wines from its dramatic, amphitheatre-shaped vineyards high above the Mediterranean. The estate’s limestone-rich terraces, cooling sea influence, and old-vine Mourvèdre give this Rouge its unmistakable combination of power, structure, and Provençal elegance.
Built around 90% Mourvèdre and 10% Grenache, Château de Pibarnon Bandol Rouge is a bold yet refined red with layers of dark cherry, blackberry, plum, dried herbs, leather, tobacco, and warm spice. With time in the glass, more savoury notes emerge: garrigue, black olive, cedar, wild thyme, and a subtle earthy depth. The palate is full-bodied and structured, with firm but polished tannins, vibrant freshness, and a long, mineral-driven finish.
A natural match for lamb, duck, grilled beef, venison, or slow-braised dishes with rosemary, olives, mushrooms, or Provençal herbs.
