Sous le Dos d’Âne is a Meursault Premier Cru vineyard is located on a slope above Perrières. The esoteric name translates to “Under the Donkey’s Back”. The vines are sheltered to the north by a huge, long hummock of stones and trees which resemble the slumbering animal.

Excellent exposure to morning sunlight ensures ripening in the cool Burgundy climate. Sous le Dos d’Âne is situated on a part of the slope where the soil is thin and marly, with hard limestone bedrock beneath — perfect for Chardonnay.

The colour is a beautiful golden green, the nose reveals aromas of honey and spices. Perfect with grilled shellfish, foie gras, or blue cheese.
