Olivier Leflaive Freres

The wines from Récolte are sourced from the original vineyards of Domaine Leflaive, reclaimed after a longstanding lease had come to an end of their once shared space. The meticulous care of the original biodynamic vineyard practices continued uninterrupted when these vineyards were returned to the Maison, complete with old-vines whose low yields allow for incredibly concentrated, perfumed wines to emerge.

The largest of the premier crus in Chassagne-Montrachet takes its name from the ancient abbey on the site. The Abbaye de Morgeot has gravelly, clayey limestone soil providing a well-drained terroir with plenty of mineral complexity. Rich and structured, this wine blends ripe yellow fruit flavours — peaches, apricots, tropical notes, with intense acidity. This wine is concentrated and ageworthy. To be enjoyed with shellfish or poultry.

“Mid lemon yellow. A fuller broader nose, a little oak, a suggestion of some yellow fruit, within the broad base of Morgeot. A steely backbone nonetheless and now all in white fruit to finish, some tannins, good acidity and fine length. Drink from 2029-2033. Tasted Oct 2025.”
91-94 points, Jasper Morris (MW), Inside Burgundy, December 2025
